Archiving Groups with F1
Since there is no archive function in FellowshipOne (F1) and we are not allowed to delete groups, we've come up with a simple way to identify groups that have shutdown in your F1 account.
If you archive a group in GroupVitals, then (Archived) is added to the end of the group's name in F1. Example: John Smith's Group becomes John Smith's Group (Archived) in FellowshipOne. You can learn more about how to create an archived group type F1 here.
Periodically, you'll want to go into F1 and do a search for group's with (Archived) in their name and move these groups to a new F1 group type that's designated for archived groups and that does not sync with GroupVitals, so you'll always have an easy way to see past groups people have been in. If you don't move archived groups into a F1 group type that doesn't sync with GroupVitals, then note that any changes made to the group on either system will update the other.
If you later decide that you want an archive group to be active again, you'll want move that group out of the F1 archived group type you setup and back into it's original F1 group type that you're syncing with GroupVitals, then in GroupVitals, go and unarchive that group from their edit profile section.
The advantage with GroupVitals archived feature is that you'll never lose your history about each group and person's involvement in a group within the ministry.
