Getting Started with The Resources Add-On
The Resources add-on is a great way to have one secure place to share files and links with people who have a login to GroupVitals and oversee groups.
Only account admins can add and manage resources.
If enabled, a link to your Resources hub will be visible in the top navigation to all people who login to their GroupVitals account (this includes eaders, coaches, staff, etc..) See what Resources looks like for leaders.
Resources can include:
- Discussion questions (pdf, doc, etc..)
- Training material (pdfs, links to videos, etc..)
- Articles
- YouTube videos
- Recommended books (Amazon.com, etc..)
Enabling Resources
To enable this add-on:
1. Login under an admin account.
2. Click on the Add-Ons in the top nav and in the drop-down, click Manage Add-Ons.
3. Find the Resources add-on and click the Enable button.
4. Once enabled, you'll see a new "Resources" link in the top navigation that will take you to your resources hub.
Adding a Resource
Only account admins and staff are able to add and edit resources. Specifically, the Add Resource button is only available to them as well as the bottom portion of each resource's card that contains the Edit button.
Resource File Types
Here are the file types we currently support uploading:
“gif”, “jpeg”, “jpg”, “png”, “doc”, “docx”, “zip”, “rar”, “pdf”, “rtf”, “xlsx”, “xls”, “txt”, “csv”, “xml”, “eps”
You can upload up to a 15mb file and all files are securely hosted with Amazon's cloud storage service.
Deleting a Resource
Like everything else in GroupVitals, you aren't able to delete a resource. However, you can edit it and set its status to Archived, which will make it hidden for everyone. You can always find Archived resources using the Resources search filters > Status > Archived. If there's a sensitive resource that you need permanently deleted, contact us and tell us which one you'd like to delete.
