Deleting a Group (Archive)
If a group no longer meets or was created by accident, you'll likely want to remove it.
With GroupVitals, you won't be able to permanently delete a group. We do this to protect your organization's valuable data and group history. You can always find an archived group.
Instead, you'll want to "Archive" that group, so you can always find them later.
Archived groups will not show up be default under your list of groups or counted in any metrics on the dashboard.
You can see Archived groups by using the search filter on the Groups page.
How to Archive a Group
1. Head to that group's profile page.
2. Click the Edit tab
3. Scroll to the very bottom and click the Archive Group button.
4. If you have a lot of groups that you'd like to archive at once, send us a message and we can do that for you!
Notes:
- The leader's and admins's of the archived group will still be able to access the group.
- Groups that are archived will not be counted in your monthly subscription plan.
- If you find yourself in a unique situation where you believe a group absolutely must be wiped out from your account, please contact us: [email protected]. It's rare that we delete a group from the backend, but we take it on a case-by-case basis.
- Members of the group will not be removed from the group.
