Shutdown or pause a group temporarily (Make Inactive)

If you have a group that is taking a break for a period of time (for the holidays, summer, etc..), it's best to set the group as "Inactive."

Here's what happens when a group is inactive:

- Attendance tracking is turned off.

- Attendance reminder emails are not sent out.

- The groups attendance related metrics are not counted towards the organization level metrics.

- The group will not be counted in the monthly billing.

-The group leader will still be able to access their groups's information and update/remove group members if needed

How to make a group inactive:

1. Head to the group's profile page.

2. Click the "Edit" tab 

3. Toggle the Active status to OFF

Additionally, you can check the box below the toggle and select a date for the group to automatically become active gain.

To manually make a group active again:

1. Head to the group's profile page.

2. Click the "Edit" tab 

3. Toggle the Active status to ON

4. Toggle "Track Attendance" to ON if the attendance add-on is enabled ( Note: this won't be turned on automatically, so be sure to manually toggle this on once the group is made active again so group leaders receive email reminders to take attendance!)
