Getting Started with Group Leader Sign Ups

The Group Leader Sign-Ups add-on was designed to make it easy and efficient for you to have people within your organization sign up to lead a group. 

How to Leader Sign Up Form Works

1. An admin of your organization will set up the GroupVitals leader sign-up form add-on and share it such as linking to it from your website or embed it into your website.

2. People within your organization who are interested in leading a group will fill out the form.

3. The admin responsible for leader sign ups will receive an email notification and will review the form submission details by logging into GroupVitals and navigating to All People > Leader Sign Ups in the top navigation.

4. The admin can either approve or deny the new leader.

If approved:
- the person will be removed from the leader sign ups list.
- the person will be given the role of a group leader (which may be called something else if you customized the name of this role).
- a group will automatically be created and all of the details from the sign up submission will be populated for the group.
- the leader will be added to the new group.
- you'll have the option to send a custom email to the leader.
- if the leader doesn't have a GroupVitals login and you want them to, you'll have the option to send them an account invite email.

If denied:
- the person will be removed from the leader sign up list
- a group will not be created

How to Setup The Leader Sign Up Form

Enable the Leader Sign Up Form Add-On and Set Settings

1. In GroupVitals' top navigation, go to Add-Ons > Manage Add-Ons (Requires an Admin level role).

2. Under the Leader Sign Up Form add-on, click the Enable button.

3. Upon enabling the add-on, you'll then see a Settings button to click on.

4. In the settings window, toggle on the option to enable the form field if it's toggled off.

5. Write a custom thank you message that will appear after someone fills out the form.

6. Choose the admin or staff member responsible for new sign ups.

7. Click update settings to save your changes.

Customize Your Leader Sign Up Form Fields

1. In the top nav, click People > Leader Sign ups.

2. Near the top-right corner of the leader sign ups page, click the 3 vertical dots menu and in the drop-down click "Customize Form."

3. On the left side of the customize form page are all of the form fields GroupVitals currently offers (customizable fields will eventually come!). For each field you want to include on the form, click the + button next to it and it will be added to the form. You can drag and drop form fields to rearrange them. To remove a field, hover over it and click the X icon in the top-right corner of it.

4. Upload a custom logo or graphic to appear at the top if you'd like.

5. Click Save changes at the top.

6. To get the share link or embed code, click the Share button at the top of the customize form page.

How to View Your Leader Sign Up Form

You can view your form from multiple places. 

The first is in the Add-ons area. Under the Leader Sign Up add-on, you'll see a link to view sign up form. 

You can also view it by going to All People >  Leader Sign Ups in the top nav. Then, near the top-right corner of the leader sign ups page, click the 3 vertical dots menu and in the drop-down click "View Sign Up Form."
