Best Practice for Online / Zoom Groups

If you have groups that only meet online, here's what we recommend you do:

1. Add a new location type by going to Settings (Gear icon in top right nav) > Groups > Meeting Location Types section and add a new one called "Online" or "Zoom" or if you have a hybrid group, you can call it Online + In-Person

2. Go into each group's profile > edit tab and set their meeting location type

You'll see in the GroupFinder a filter dropdown called "Locations" and this is a great way for people to easily filter and find groups based upon whether they meet online, in-person, etc..

If you'd like, you can provide people a custom link to the GroupFinder that only shows them online groups, for example. All you have to do is go to your GroupFinder, use the search filter to only show online groups, then copy the URL in the browser address bar and paste that into any email, website button link etc..
