CCB: Attendance

We sync group attendance to and from CCB.

The best practice is to have your groups choose one platform to take attendance. Data will get messy if they turn on attendance and setup recurring meeting events in both systems. 

If attendance is taken in GroupVitals (either attended or didn't attend), then it's sent to CCB as a one-time event for that group, with all the attendance data attached. If attendance needs to be updated, it must be done in CCB. We provide a quick and helpful link in GroupVitals for the leader to do that in CCB.

If a group takes attendance with CCB, then we'll sync that data over during the nightly sync. However, we can only sync people on the roster marked as attended or didn't attend.

We find most churches prefer to have their groups take attendance with GroupVitals because it forces them to check/uncheck each person who attended and they can't just input a number to represent how many people attended. We also offer the attendance text reminder which is very effective.
