Leader isn't receive attendance emails or reminders

If a leader has reported they are not receiving attendance reminders, here are some steps you can take to diagnose the issue:

Reminder Texts

- Ensure that the leader has the correct phone # set in the "Cell #" field in their profile (and no extra spaces or unusual characters).

- Ask the leader to check their My Notifications settings (link accessible at the bottom of all emails from GroupVitals or they can login to their account) to ensure that they've toggled on to received attendance text reminders.

- Ask the leader text the word ATTENDANCE to 1-629-235-5876 to ensure they've opted-in.

Reminder Emails

Tip: If one of the leaders or group admins opted into receiving attendance reminders via text and they are taking attendance the same day as their group meets, then the leaders or group admins will not receive an attendance reminder email the next day - since attendance has already been taken.

Step 1. Check that the leader has an email address on file in their personal profile page. You'll see it listed below their name if they have one.

Step 2. Check that the leader's group is not set to inactive or archived by going to the group's profile page.

Step 3. Check that attendance is turned on for the group by going to their profile page and clicking on the attendance tab. You'll see the on/off toggle there indicating if it's turned on or not.

Step 4. Check that attendance reports are being generated for the group by going to the group's profile page and clicking on the attendance tab.

Step 5. Have the leader check their My Notifications settings areas to ensure they have the attendance email reminders turned on. It's possible for them to manually turn this off only if there's another leader in their group with an email on file to receive them as well. They can access their notification settings via the link at the bottom of all emails from GroupVitals or by logging into their account.

Step 6: Have your leader check their spam folder for the reminder emails. If they find them there, have them " whitelist" the attendance email.
