Assign a Coach to a Group Leader

If you have someone who oversees a group leader, we refer to them as a coach. You may call them something different, such as: champion, shepard, community leader, area leader, etc.. you can customize this title as well.

With GroupVitals, you connect coaches directly to people (e.g, leaders ) and not groups. You'll be able to see which coach is connected to a specific group on that group's profile, on the left sidebar. You can also see all of the group's connected to a coach by going to that coach's profile and click on their coach tab to view all the groups under their span of care. Lastly, if you go to your main Groups listing page, there's a search filter with a dropdown list of your coaches you can select to just see groups under their span of care.

How to assign a coach (or equivalent) to a group leader:

1. First, be sure the leader and the coach both have a role of leader and coach. You can add that role via their person profile page by clicking on the "Edit" tab and scroll down to the very bottom to toggle on their role.

2. Navigate to the coach's profile and click on the "Coach" tab in the sub-menu. (Note: It will be labeled to whatever you have customized this to).

3. Click on the "Add Leader" box below on the Coach tab page.

4. Do a search for the leader and check their name and click Finish.

Note: You can also add a coach to a leader by going to the leader's profile, clicking on the leader tab and click the button to add a coach.
