Group signup status (Prospect, Member or Guest)

In the GroupFinder settings area, you can determine how a person should be treated when they fill out the form for a group's public GroupFinder profile. No matter which option you select, the person will show up in the Prospect Pipeline under the Connected stage.

Prospect (default): 
The leader of the group will get an email notification and within the email they can either accept or decline the prospect into the group.  Learn more about this process here.

Here's what the email looks like for the new prospect:

Member 
The person will immediately become a member of the group. They'll get a confirmation email containing their group's information. The group leader will also receive an email with the new member's information.

Here's what the email looks like for the new member:

Guest 
The person will immediately become a guest of the group. They'll get a confirmation email containing their group's information. The group leader will also receive an email with the new guest's information. At anytime, the leader can login and change the guest's status to a group member.

Global Setting 
When checked, individual groups will  not be allowed to choose how a person will be treated when they fill out the group's GroupFinder form. So whatever status you set in the GroupFinder settings will apply to all groups.
