Why Aren't My Changes in F1 Saving?

If you notice that changes being made in F1 are not saving and/or are reverting back to their previous state by the next day, here are some tips to make sure those changes stick:

  1. Make sure there are no duplicate profiles. If a person has more than one profile in GroupVitals, you might be updating the master/real record in F1, but that master/real record is tied to a bad duplicate in GV. You can learn more about preventing and closing out duplicate profiles here!
  2. Make sure GroupVitals is syncing with the correct F1 record. You can check by going to the person's profile in GroupVitals and on the left sidebar you'll see their F1 ID # and link to view their profile in F1. If the profile you see in F1 doesn't match or is a duplicate, then you can change the F1 ID # that GroupVitals syncs with. Learn more about that here.
  3. Updates made in GroupVitals get immediately sent to F1, but not vice versa. Changes made in F1 will only show up after the nightly sync, so check back in on your changes the following day to see if they're still there.
  4. It could be that your F1 group types are not set up correctly, and therefore that group's information is not syncing with F1. To learn more about adding additional F1 group types to sync with GroupVitals, visit this link!
  5. Your entire connection with F1 isn't working. Sometimes it can stop and you'll have to disconnect via the Add-Ons in your GroupVitals profile and then re-connect.
  6. The person who initially set up the F1 and GroupVitals integration had their F1 portal account made inactive or deleted. In this case, you'll need to disconnect from F1 and reconnect with an active F1 portal account.
