CCB: How to Setup (Existing Customer)

If you've been using GroupVitals to track your groups and you now want to start using our CCB integration, you'll need to please follow these steps.

1. Create a groups .csv export out of CCB that will be the ones that we'll be syncing with. We'll use this to ensure we sync'd the right groups with CCB. To export, login to CCB, click on Reports & Metrics in the navigation. Then under the systems report tab, click on Groups. From the list of possible exports, click on "Export Groups" - if you're multi-campus, then choose "Change campus selection…" and then "Select all". For the department, select the department(s) that are associated with all of the groups you'd like to sync with GroupVitals. If you don't have this setup, then just select ** No Department ** and then click Run Report. Then download the csv and attach it to your reply back to me.

2. For all of the current groups in your GroupVitals account, if they are also setup in CCB, then be sure they are included in the export from the previous step. If they aren't in CCB, then we'll send them to CCB after we perform the initial sync. We'll just need to know which CCB group type we need to assign them to.

3. A fresh export of your people from CCB, so we can make any updates and add new people.  Instructions here. Hopefully all of your current group leaders are not a "Limited Access User" in CCB. If they are, you'll need to uncheck that, as CCB won't let us sync a group if the leader is a limited access user.

4. Email us your CCB .csv exports for groups and people ([email protected]) and we will confirm receipt. We'll then get that information imported / updated in your account. We'll be making sure to match people in GroupVitals with their CCB ID # and groups as well. If we find people in your GroupVitals database that we couldn't match with your CCB export, we'll send that list back to you to review. Perhaps they have a different name and/or email/phone in CCB so we couldn't find a match. Or, they are brand new and we should have the first time sync import them to your CCB account.

5. Once we complete the above steps, then you'll do the official Setup the CCB Integration process.
